Abstract:

Building upon Fairclough's (1989) stages of critical discourse analysis, i.e. the micro level text (discourse) analysis, and the macro level processing (ideology) and social (POWER) analyses, the present paper foregrounds some ideological facilitators of institutional POWER ENACTMENT, which are multimodal interruptions of professors in the last parts of M.A viva sessions. These verbal and nonverbal interruptions or discourse types are taken-for-granted by all the academic people, and these beliefs are ideologically held and transferred to others, since they are legitimately and naturally re-produced, though having the form of a coercive POWER. This paper presents a new understanding of POWER, by urging that POWER in the present study is both non-modern and coercive, as opposed to Van Dijk (1996), discussing the features of a modern POWER as being 'persuasive and manipulative' rather than 'coercive or incentive.' The data consisted of four main themes: (1) Verbal & nonverbal commands; (2) Interruptive comments and explanations; (3) Gatekeeping POWER including (a) Time management, and (b) knowledge management; and (4) Interruptive activities. This paper has implications for applying CDA in higher education and especially in face-to-face oral exams as opposed to blind peer reviews, where the coercive POWER takes the place of collaboration.

Abstract:

In this paper, a novel risk-based, two-objective (technical and economical) optimal reactive POWER dispatch method in a wind-integrated POWER system is proposed which is more consistent with operational criteria.  The technical objective includes the minimization of the new voltage instability risk index. The economical objective includes cost minimization of reactive POWER generation and active POWER loss. The proposed voltage instability risk employs a hybrid possibilistic (Delphi-Fuzzy)-probabilistic approach that takes into consideration the operator’s experience, the wind speed and demand forecast uncertainties when quantifying the risk index. The decision variables are the reactive POWER resources of the system. To solve the problem, the modified multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm with sine and cosine acceleration coefficients is utilized. The method is implemented on the modified IEEE 30-bus system. The proposed method is compared with those in the previously published literature, and the results confirm that the proposed risk index is better at estimating the voltage instability risk of the system, especially in cases with severe impact and low probability. In addition, according to the simulation results compared to typical security-based planning, the proposed risk-based planning may increase the security and economy of the system due to better utilization of system resources.

Abstract:

In this paper, a new method for extending and relaxing the noise-coupling (NC) technique is proposed to enhance the noise-shaping order without adding the number of integrators. The noise-shaping order of the introduced ∑∆ modulator whit applying a second-order noise-coupling technique is enhanced and its performance with optimizing the noise transfer function (NTF) zeros is improved. Also, by removing the analog adder at feedforward path and transferring it to a new feedback branch before the last integrator and adding second-order NC path can be decreased the input voltage swing to the quantizer. Thus, by improving the modulator resolution, POWER consumption can be reduced. Mathematical analyses and behavioural simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the new NC method. To examine its performance, a 2nd-order single loop ΣΔ modulator was designed. The new noise-coupling method is used to achieve the three-order noise shaping to increase the resolution with low complexity and low-POWER. The results show an outstanding improvement in signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) compared to the conventional structure.

Abstract:

Objective: The success or failure of a policy is determined by the implementation phase. Because this stage is the intersection of politics with individual actors. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study how policies are ENACTMENT in practice. Methods: This research has been done with a qualitative approach and using the narrative review method. To find related resources from 1990 to 2020 in Taylor & Francis, Sage, Scopus, Emerald and Science Direct databases with keywords Implementation of educational policy, Operating the educational policy "and" policy ENACTMENT "was searched. In the first phase, 280 resources were collected. After an initial study and the findings of Google Scholar, it was found that Stephen J. Ball is the most cited person in the field of educational policy; from 2008 to 2012, he theorized about policy ENACTMENT. In the second stage, seventy-two sources related to policy ENACTMENT were selected and reviewed. In the third step, eleven sources were selected for careful review and the rest were removed. Results: Thematic classification was used to summarize the findings. Findings were divided into six thematic categories: policy, policy ENACTMENT, contextual analysis, policy actors, discourse productions, a model for Thinking of policy ENACTMENT in educational organizations. Conclusion: This research contributes to the need for greater clarity and knowledge of the legal issues and risks of electronic project administration in the construction industry. Policies that are beyond the zero and one run; rather, they are complexly enacted by different actors in different contexts. Policy ENACTMENT theory has a more pragmatic approach and can assist educational leaders in the ENACTMENT and even not ENACTMENT policies.

Abstract:

Despite considerable research on the analysis of texts, policy principles and practices by educational policy researchers in Iran, one missing link has been the lack of attention to the role of local actors in the educational policy development process. Accordingly, the purpose of this descriptive-analytical study was to analyze the role of educational leaders as local policy actors in interpreting, translating, and enacting educational policies with respect to different cultural, legal, political, institutional, and contextual interventions. The method of this study was descriptive-analytical. Take into consideration lack of scientific-academic and institutional evidence in the field of educational policy in Iran, the most recent foreign literature related to the research topic was used for data collection. In analyzing the findings, it was attempted to consider, in addition to the texts, the observations and experiences of the authors as one of the examples of educational policy ENACTMENT. The findings of this study show that, unlike traditional approaches that mainly insist on mere policy implementation, the policy ENACTMENT emphasize that educational policies are conditionally based, moderated, and sometimes ignored. policy type, POWER and positionality, space and time constraints, as well as different subjectivities, plays an important role in changing, modifying, and ignoring educational policies.

Abstract:

The main issue of the present study was that despite the studies that have been done so far on the analysis of faculty promotion policy, but less attention has been paid to the interpretation, translation and ENACTMENT of this policy in universities. So, our main question was what is the basic policy of promoting faculty members in universities? The research method was qualitative case study. Research data obtained through interviews with 12 policy actors from one of the first level public universities and were analyzed using the Creswell spiral method, and finally discussed using the policy ENACTMENT framework. The findings showed that despite the fact that in during the last decade, the policy of faculty promotion influenced by idea of entrepreneur university, the performance-oriented aspect dominates the work environment of faculty members and conceptualizes the meaning of promotion in the form of measurable economic value, but the policy actors within the university, with their readings, interpretations, and translations of this policy, have moderated the effects of the influx that into the universities.

Abstract:

This paper figures the new principle for post-dramatic theatre in the frame of ‘post-traumatic’ history which will free all repressed traumas of history and community that is neglected by them, and be taken back to them with inherent violence of their images. Mentioning reinterpretation of traumas after the mid-20th century, I focus on Judith Herman and Cathy Caruth’s surveys, as the members of PTSD(post-traumatic stress disorder) studies. This group has posed new definition for traumatic dreams and memories by devising the term ‘traumatic reENACTMENT’. In this way, every moment of ‘now’ is the ENACTMENT of the moment of ‘past’. Curing these traumas, we both urgently demand historical experience. But how we could access to a traumatic history? Reinterpretation of new tragedy as a political theatre in the frame of post-dramatic theatre will be the answer. For this purpose, with an emphasis on ‘traumatic reENACTMENT’ the principle of triple communication between victim, perpetrator and witness is renovated by essential tension between spectator and actor, and the inherent distance between them. So, the entire scene becomes traumatic reENACTMENT of a singular traumatic event which has been fixed in the specific moment of past. By reenacting the past, each actor or spectator stays in the liminal state, as a ritual performance. This moment is the moment of pure consciousness. This will be happened by transgressing the boundaries between the Real and reality, as Jacque Lacan mentioned. In this level, they will be gotten the strength of talking about what they have repressed in the past. So, in this state of consciousness, both spectator/ actors will make their way to the ‘shared memory’.
